Deal Or No Deal Family Challenge [16 Nov 2007|03:00pm]
holler1

Hi There! I'm working on the online marketing for the release of Deal Or No Deal Family Challenge Interactive DVD, released on Monday 19th November.

After revolutionising the interactive DVD genre with its debut release last year and setting new records as the highest-selling DVD game of all time, Deal or No Deal returns with the Family Challenge, a new and improved game for players to test their wits against The Banker. Featuring a range of innovative additions to the format, fans of the award-winning game show on Channel 4 can now personalise their game and take on their family and friends!

Introducing brand new game play, in a first of its kind feature the Deal or No Deal Family Challenge interactive DVD game allows players to join forces with family and friends to beat The Banker. With options to play solo, take the Family Challenge or test their nerves against The Banker, players will ride a roller coaster of emotions to prove they can make the right deal - at the right time.

Released on DVD on 19th November and featuring exclusive unseen studio footage, Deal or No Deal host Noel Edmonds guides players through each stage of the game. Those playing at home can now chose their own box, ask advice from favourite contestants, ask The Banker a question or for an insightful poem, as well as trying out the brand new lucky dip feature. With 22 identical boxes and a quarter of a million pounds at stake – it’s a walk of wealth towards Deal or No Deal in the brand new Family Challenge."

Just thought I'd mention that as of Monday, DOND moves to 4:45pm Monday-Friday (but I dunno about Saturdays...)

Too much of a good thing? [17 Jun 2006|11:50pm]

As most of you Deal or No Deal fans out there should know, this week has been "Double Deal" week. A chance for Channel 4 to put the show on twice every day (one in the normal teatime slot plus an evening show featuring some of the more memorable past contestants) and to completely ruin your after work schedule. As much as I like the show and I thought the concept of revisiting past contestant's experiences was a good concept, the thought of two show every day is perhaps a littlke too much, as well as the fact that it now seems to be broadcasting 7 days a week. The trouble is, I feel compelled to watch every episode to see who gets to play and to keep the whole thing in sequence, it's like an episode of The Bill or Casualty but manages of focus on real people as well as real lives. Deal or No Deal is indeed superb in its own right, but I would adviser Channel 4 not to go into overkill with it again like it has done this week.

Thoughts?

What did Peter win on Saturday? I was really interested in seeing his show and sky plus deleted it :(.

Also as for the claim to fame below - my flatmates cousin made the sounds that happen when the money goes off the board!!

Hi guys. I never posted here before but been watching DOND for as long as I can remember. I was eating dinner and watching last nights show when I noticed the new contestant, Carlton was opening a box. I used to live in the same flat complex with him 2 years ago. He fed me horrible drinks and Im probably never welcome in his house again.

I know its boring but thats my only claim to fame.

Has anyone else seen the DOND parodies on Dead Ringers?
They're really rather funny, even though I love the show. :)
